SGA provides external audit services to a variety of industries, including financial institutions, construction contractors, manufacturers, employee benefit plans, nonprofit organizations and many other diversified mid and small businesses.  Our experienced and well trained staff is aware that our clients have businesses to run and they conscientiously and efficiently conduct audits with minimal disruption of employees and operations.

Our audits are planned to ensure full compliance with all applicable auditing standards and compliance requirements.  We keep abreast of current issues through professional education courses, memberships in professional accounting organizations, a comprehensive library of reference materials, and strong relationships with other accounting firms. As needed during audits, we consult with our clients on improving internal accounting controls, operating more efficiently, and enhancing potential business opportunities.

Our staff is proficient in the use and application of the latest technology devised for diversified accounting requirements. We operate in a paperless environment, including work paper documentation. In addition to electronic research resources, IDEA data analysis and sampling software are utilized to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of the audit engagement.

We supplement our professional experience with Practitioner’s Publishing Company (“PPC”) resources for audit approach, programs and workpaper forms.  PPC’s resources are widely accepted and utilized in the profession.
