Brenda Young joined SGA in 1999 and became a partner in 2005. She is a graduate of Southwestern Adventist University and had a twenty-two year career with a progressive community bank before joining SGA. Brenda, as former controller of a $250 million bank, has substantial knowledge of bank operations and a unique understanding of issues and concerns facing financial institutions today. Brenda is experienced in bank auditing and taxation and oversees the firm’s financial institution audit engagements. She currently is serving on the TSCPA Financial Institutions Conference Committee.
Brenda lives 70 miles from our Fort Worth office but is often the first one there in the morning! As one who completed college after marriage and children, she exemplifies dedication and determination in everything she does. Brenda loves reading and is an avid sports fan. She is married and has two sons.
